Backup procedure fails with the following error message in the VZAgent log file:

"connection establishing timeout 120 sec. expired"

A Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0 node may have several IP addresses. To initiate data transfer, the Virtuozzo Agent service opens port 4435 on the first IP address it finds on the node. By default, port 4435 does not listen on all IPs. The remote node, however, tries to connect to the IP address based on the incoming IP address of the controlling connection from the other node, which is selected according to the routing rules on the node. Thus, it may be different.

First, make sure that you have the proper firewall rules.

Usage of the required Hardware Node's IP address can be forced, after which it will be propagated and used in Virtuozzo Agent connections. This can be done by adding the tag "primary_address" to the "configuration" section of "gend" in the Virtuozzo Agent configuration file "/var/vzagent/etc/vzagent.conf":

You must restart VZAgent service on the Hardware Node in order to apply this change:

# vzagent_ctl restart

The Service Container's proxy adjustment is performed by the system script "/opt/vzagent/bin/" (it belongs to the package "vzagent-opcontrol"), and if it is modified, please be aware that this script will be overwritten during further updates via the "vzup2date" tool.
