With 'Piped Logs' feature enabled on Parallels Panel 9.3 installation, the following happens:

  • access_log files of domains are not updated anymore, but HTTP requests are logged into access_ssl_log file instead;
  • webstat (http) statistic is not updated anymore, but statistic is collected as webstat-ssl (https) instead.

The issue is caused by corrupted /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog binary (/opt/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog on Debian-like operating systems).

You need to replace /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog binary (/opt/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog on Debian-like operating systems) with fixed copy from the attached archive:

1) download the attached archive and extract it to any temporary folder. The archive contains fixed pipedlog binary for all the supported operating systems.

2) check and remember the current permissions of /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog, for example:
# ls -l /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog
-r-xr-x--- 1 root psaadm 29480 Dec 30 02:14 /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog

3) stop apache web server;

4) copy pipelog binary from extracted archive from subfolder for your operating system, for example:
# cp /tmp/fixed_piped_log/dist-rpm-CentOS-5-x86_64/pipelog /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog

5) make sure that file permissions remained the same and correct them back if they changed:
# ls -l /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog
-r-xr-x--- 1 root psaadm 124430 Jan 27 13:03 /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pipelog

6) start apache web server.
