Sometimes it is necessary to split a Parallels Panel backup file by parts. The task may be especially important for 32-bit systems, where there is an address space size limit of 2 GB.

In Parallels Panel 9, a new backup option was added: "-split." Here is its description. This is the output from the command-line utility "help":
"%plesk_cli%\pleskbackup" --help
-split or -s <size>[B|K|M|G|T]

Split the generated backups to the parts. Parts are numbered by appending .NNN suffixes, starting with .001. Size may be specified in kilobytes (<nn>K), megabytes (<nn>M) and gigabytes (<nn>G). By default in bytes. '-s' option without argument selects default split size: 2 gigabytes.
