Parallels Plesk Panel 9.x is installed on Debian or Ubuntu.
A domain user cannot log in to the server with SFTP. When the domain user tries to log in, the error connection closed is returned.
# sftp ftp_user@domain.tld
ftp_user@domain.tld's password:
Connection closed.

This problem was discovered in Parallels Plesk Panel 9.x and will be fixed in a future update.

Please copy the binary file sftp-server to the user's chrooted environment.

Locate the file sftp-server on the server.
# grep sftp /etc/ssh/sshd_config
Subsystem sftp /usr/lib/openssh/sftp-server

Copy the file from the output to the chrooted environment of the user:
#mkdir HTTPD_VHOSTS_D/chroot/usr/lib/openssh
# cp  -p  /usr/lib/openssh/sftp-server

Switch shell access on the web hosting settings page for the domain from and back to /bin/bash (chrooted).
