It is not possible to update physical hosting of the domain. Parallels Plesk Panel (PP) fails to update settings by timeout.

While PP update process is running you can see with the top command that utility /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/usermng is running with isquotable-quiet parameter.

When physical hosting update is running, usermng utility checks if quotas are supported on appropriate partition by disabling/enabling quota support.
This process uses CPU and takes several minutes.

This problem was discovered in Parallels Plesk Panel and will be fixed in future updates.

Increase execution time for the scripts to 15 minutes in files $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/admin/conf/php.ini and $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/admin/conf/httpsd.conf. Restart Parallels Plesk Panel after that.

Modify the file $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/admin/conf/php.ini and change the value for parameter max_execution_time to 900 seconds.
# grep max_execution_time /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini
max_execution_time = 600

And also modify the file  $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/admin/conf/httpsd.conf  and change the value for parameter Timeout to 900 seconds.
Timeout 900
